In 2003 our church meeting voted to adopt as one of our charities the building of an orphanage for 50 children in Mae Gone Northern Thailand. Rev Abel Sairattanyu the missionary leading the project hoped to begin building work in September 2003 with the total cost of the project being just £11,500 (a small amount by western standards) with funds being raised here in England as well as Singapore and Chiang Mai in Thailand. As can be seen in our reports the work was indeed commenced in September of that year and by August of 2005 the orphanage had been built and was carrying out its work caring for Orphans in that part of the world as can be seen in our medical mission report. Our fund raising efforts towards this project continues, to date we have received contributions from church members and friends and also a charitable donation from a local business. We are currently raising funds towards the truck fund and general running expenses of the orphanage whilst some of our members sponsor orphans If you wish to make a contribution to this worthwhile cause please contact our webmaster or any elder More information about the mission and the orphanage project can be found at http://www.nazbpc.com/fm.php?mid=8 The pictures below are from the December 2002 mission teams visit to Northern Thailand
